So you have built and designed your web site. It looks great and now you are just waiting for all of those visitors, right? Wrong!

You now have to optimise your site using Search Engine Optimisation. What this means is you want to fine tune your site to get more visitors to find it through search engines.

Here are some proven SEO techniques to optimise your SEO:-

Use key words that your customers would use to find your site in your content. Make it natural so that you are not blocked out by Google which can pick up unnatural usage of key terms a mile away! To make it easier you can focus on one product or service of your business to start with and then gradually expand on it.

Establish social media sites for your company. Make sure that these too are SEO-friendly, using the appropriate key words and posting interesting content frequently.

Submit your site or blog to Google for search indexing. This will automatically raise your site ranking when it comes to Google’s ranking of sites.

Ensure your site is HTML friendly. Make sure you or your web administrator use the correct HTML and Meta data tags, using key words that will make your site more retrievable when clients search for your products or services. This includes images and videos since these are given a high priority when it comes to the relevance of sites. Also by providing Meta data and key words yourself you avoid your site being lost in the noise of more generic keywords. You can also assign your own visual graphic for the visual files.

Last but by no means least importantly post well-researched, well thought out, succinct posts. It is better to post frequent short but clear English posts than it is to post longwinded infrequent posts. The more often you post unique and varied content the more your audience grows loyal, anticipating your next posting and intrigued by what you might right about next!

Having the SEO optimised means that you are in tune with your audience and the terms they use to find your products and services. This will result in more visitors from your target market group, more interest if your content is of relevance to them and ultimately more loyalty and return visits by your clients.
